Raising Faith In Tough Times

Preached by

Parenting in today’s world presents unprecedented challenges, as the family structure faces threats from an increasingly secular society. With schools no longer serving as partners in instilling faith and values, the responsibility falls squarely on parents to guide their children towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. By focusing on six non-negotiable principles, parents can navigate the treacherous waters of modern culture and raise their children to embrace a life of faith and purpose.

  • Teach children about God as early as possible, focusing on how belief in God impacts daily life.
  • Teach children to listen to the voice of God and seek His guidance in all situations.
  • Teach children to guard their hearts by equipping their minds with biblical truth.
  • Teach children to pray, emphasizing the importance of a personal relationship with God.
  • Keep children engaged in church and surrounded by a supportive faith community.
  • Teach children about the cross, emphasizing God’s grace, mercy, and unconditional love.

In a world that bombards our children with conflicting messages and distractions, it is crucial for parents to be intentional about raising their children in the faith. By embracing the six non-negotiable principles of Christian parenting, we can equip our children with the foundation they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and purpose.

Let us commit to being the primary influence in our children’s lives, demonstrating the love and truth of Christ in both word and deed. As we do so, we can trust that God will work through us to raise a generation that will impact the world for His glory.
